Our story

After spending three years contracting for companies in Cambridgeshire in 2017 Ian Peacock started his own company and called it Milk and 2 Sugars Construction. The name, as you’ve guessed, is usually how builders prefer their tea.

Starting out on his own, the business has grown to a team of qualified local tradesmen who work on a range of large and small projects across the county.

Ian is a qualified bricklayer and plasterer, initially from Wembley, now based in Cambridgeshire. He first started in the construction industry over 20 years ago when he went to the Channel Islands. He was only supposed to be there for a week but he loved the pace of life and community on the island so much he stayed.

He worked both locally on Guernsey, Jersey, and internationally in Australia and after 15 years abroad came home to the UK and settling in St Neots where his family lives.
